Privacy Policy
Evn Technologies Inc. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use our website. This Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the “Site” refers to the Company’s website located at www.chiride.com. The “Service” refers to the features available through the Site, through which you can learn about our upcoming rideshare service, join our launch waitlist, submit feature requests, and make voluntary contributions to support the Company. “You” refers to you, as a visitor to the Site or a user of the Service.
By accessing the Site or using the Service, you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use (available on the Site), and you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the Service.
I. Information We Collect
We collect “Personal Information” (information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you) and “Non-Personal Information” (information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data and aggregate statistics).
1. Information you provide to us. When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide them, your name and ZIP or postal code. When you submit a feature request, we collect the content of your submission along with your contact information. When you make a voluntary contribution, we collect your name, email address, and transaction details as described in Section IV below. You are not required to provide Personal Information to browse the Site, but certain features of the Service require it.
2. Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information sent by your browser or device, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies. We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until deleted) for purposes such as keeping the Site functioning, remembering your preferences, securing payment transactions, and understanding aggregate usage of the Site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not display third-party advertising on the Site.
3. Children’s privacy. The Site and the Service are not directed to anyone under the age of 18, and use of the Site is limited to individuals 18 years of age or older under our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at the address in Section XI.
II. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: (a) operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the Service; (b) notify you about our launch, service availability in your area, and related updates; (c) respond to your questions and feature requests; (d) process and confirm voluntary contributions; (e) detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; (f) comply with applicable laws and legal process; and (g) with your consent or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection, for other purposes.
We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share your Personal Information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
III. How We Share Information
Service providers. We share Personal Information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as Stripe, Inc. (payment processing), Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery, DNS, and security), our hosting providers, and our email delivery providers. These vendors are permitted to use your Personal Information only at our direction and as necessary to perform services for us.
Legal requirements. We may disclose Personal Information if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations; to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
Business transfers. If we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred or evaluated. Any acquirer or successor may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Non-Personal Information. We may use and disclose aggregated or de-identified Non-Personal Information for any lawful purpose, including analyzing usage trends and improving the Service.
IV. Payment Processing
Voluntary contributions made through the Site are processed by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). When you make a contribution, your payment card or Apple Pay details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive limited transaction information from Stripe, such as your name, email address, the amount and status of your transaction, the card brand, and the last four digits of your card, which we use to confirm and account for your contribution. If you pay using Apple Pay, your use of Apple Pay is also subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
Contributions made through the Site are voluntary and are not charitable donations. Evn Technologies Inc. is a for-profit Delaware corporation, and contributions are not tax-deductible.
V. Cookies and Do Not Track
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site may not function properly, including payment features. Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals; because there is not yet a common industry standard for responding to such signals, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
VI. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including maintaining our waitlist until launch and thereafter for as long as you remain subscribed, and retaining transaction records as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes. When Personal Information is no longer needed, we will delete it or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your Personal Information as described in Section VIII.
VII. How We Protect Information
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and firewalls. Payment card data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment processor, and never touches our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. By using the Service, you acknowledge these risks.
VIII. Your Rights and Choices
Marketing communications. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each email or by contacting us at the address in Section XI. Please note that we may continue to send you non-promotional, administrative communications, such as transaction confirmations and notices of changes to this Privacy Policy.
Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the Personal Information we hold about you by contacting us at the address in Section XI. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe and as required by applicable law. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as records of completed transactions.
California residents. If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. As stated above, we do not share your Personal Information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. California residents may make requests regarding their personal information by contacting us at the address in Section XI.
IX. Links to Other Websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including Stripe, Apple, and our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and the Service. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
X. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by sending a notice to the email address associated with your waitlist signup or account (if any) and/or by posting a prominent notice on the Site. Material changes will take effect 30 days after such notice; non-material changes and clarifications take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Site or the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
